These courses help you to grow your knowledge and skills working with different technologies, configuring hardware and software and problem solving. You will learn in dedicated IT suites and have the opportunity to put theory into practice, working on live briefs from employers or competing in skills competitions.

CAVC computing students have an exceptional reputation for success at national skills competitions winning medals at the Skills Competition Wales and WorldSkills finals! All students get to put learning in practice, including exciting challenges, projects and live briefs set by employers – including cyber challenges or developing websites. All things that help you stand out from the crowd and progress.
Your Industry
Wales continues to experience the fastest-growing digital economy outside London, with Cardiff serving as a leading hub for fintech and digital innovation. The Cardiff Capital Region features a thriving digital cluster, with projections indicating an increase of 9,400 jobs by 2029, a third of which will be created in Cardiff. Average salaries in this sector are approximately £38,500 per year (Lightcast, 2024).
Your Future
