Adult Basic Education - English, Maths and Digital Literacy
Studying a Literacy (Communication), Numeracy (Application of Number) or Digital Literacy course with Cardiff and Vale College could help you to:
- Gain a qualification (Essential Skills or Agored)
- Prepare for work or a college course
- Improve everyday skills
Classes are available from Entry 1 to Level 2 and start in September, January and April.
Prior to enrolment you will be required to complete a WEST screener and interview in order to place you in a class at the appropriate level that best suits your needs.
Courses run for 6 hours a week for 10 weeks and you will be also be required to do additional study outside these hours.
Options for January:
- Essential Skills – 3 hours on site and 3 hours blended learning.
Essential Skills online (Level 2 only) – supported online learning. You will be required to attend a college site for the examinations only.
- ABE Online course – accredited with an Agored unit. Suitable for learners who want to brush up on skills without attending a college site.
