Our travel and tourism courses develop your skills and experience, and provide industry recognised qualifications to open doors to a career in the industry.
About Travel and Tourism
Study modules including travel destinations, foreign languages, customer services and first aid. You can gain experience through visiting industry experts, taking part in site visits and gaining work placements in tourist destinations in Wales and beyond.

The College has many links with industry who offer work experience opportunities and placements for CAVC students, with the likes of British Airways, Thomas Cook and Virgin Atlantic.

Currently more than 63,000 people are employed in the sector in South East Wales. There is an 8% net growth predicted over the next seven years, with over 5,000 jobs growth by 2024 within South East Wales (EMSI, 2016).

Many students go straight into employment in roles in hotels, events management, tourist attractions and holiday resorts. Progress onto our renowned Cabin Crew part-time course and join students who have gained employment with airlines including Emirates, British Airways, Virgin, EasyJet and more. You can even go onto study a Foundation Degree in Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management right here at CAVC.
