If you are keen on pursuing a career in Law, then this AL Part Time Law course is a great place to start.
Based at our City Centre campus in Cardiff, the AS part of the programme studies the legal environment, whilst the A2 part builds on this by examining an area of law. The qualification also covers Human Rights in the UK such as freedom of speech, police powers, censorship and discrimination.
Law is a dynamic subject constantly evolving with Acts of Parliament and important cases often involving controversial issues. This AL Law course covers both AS and A2 Law, so it is possible to gain a full A-Level in one year.
AS Law covers the following areas:
Unit 1: Understanding Legal Structures and Processes
There is one written exam (1hr 30mins) in January or June, which consists of answering 2 two-part essays.
Unit 2: Understanding legal reasoning and personnel

“I met a lot of great people from various backgrounds and walks of life; I liked the diversity within the College. In my opinion the freedom that the College gave me towards my studies provided me with the tools I needed to be a more independent worker and have confidence to develop things on my own.”
On completion of the A Level programme, the majority of our students progress onto universities across the country and beyond. Based on this course, there are many options but below are just a few examples of degree programmes you could go on to study at University:
