Congratulations to five of our Creative learners who won awards across three different categories at the Urdd Eisteddfod this week.

Demonstrating their outstanding talents, CAVC learners Tom Delamotte, Siriol Ap Rhys, Jasmine Downes, Ellie Dibble and Mckenna Pace all blew judges away when they submitted their very own works of art to the Urdd Eisteddfod judges back in May.

Tom Delamotte, a year 1 3D Design learner, won 1st place in the 3D work category with his Lego construction of Cardiff Castle:

Siriol Ap Rhys, an AS Art learner, won 1st place in the Print category with this fantastic piece of art shown below:

Jasmine Downes, a Level 1 Art and Design learner, won 1st place in the Ceramics category with this interesting piece:

Ellie Dibble, a Level 1 Art and Design learner, won 2nd place in the Ceramics category with a sea life inspired piece:

And last but not least, Mckenna Pace, a Level 1 Art and Design learner, won 3rd place in the Ceramics category:

Kristen Harries, Head of Creative Industries, said: “I am so pleased to be celebrating the talented Creative students who triumphed in the art competition at the Cardiff and Vale Celf a Chrefft Eisteddfod through the Urdd. Our students’ creativity shines brightly, painting a vivid tapestry of Welsh culture and language. Their artistic achievements fill me with immense pride”

Congratulations to all our winners who have been invited to an awards ceremony on 5th July in Cardiff to accept their awards and celebrate their achievements.
