The GCSE in German is an intensive one-year course. In this course, students will practise the four language skills of reading, speaking, listening and writing and are encouraged to use the target language wherever possible.
Although the course is suitable for beginners, some knowledge of German or another foreign language is recommended. Previous experience of studying another modern foreign language would be a benefit.
The aim of the course is to prepare learners to sit the WJEC GCSE German exam; to develop language skills, enabling candidates to communicate and interact confidently.
