The Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is a 5x day course, providing Site Managers with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as the legal responsibilities they have relevant to their work activities. The course is designed to support site managers to: Manage & implement health, safety and environmental aspects on site, in accordance to current legal provisions and within the context of the role. Implement new guidance and industry best practice. Develop an understanding of responsibility and accountability for site health, safety, welfare and the environment.

Module 4 - High Risk Activities Exercise - Construction Site Core Project Task
Candidates should be responsible for planning, organising, controlling and monitoring a construction workforce. Must be competent in written and spoken English. Candidates will need to bring a laptop or device to all sessions.
There is a project element included as part of this course, requiring a presentation. Access to a laptop or smart device such as a tablet will be beneficial in preparing for the presentation.
On completion of the SMSTS learners can progress onto a HNC or HND in Construction
