This Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management is ideal for aspiring and current senior people practitioners.

Study through Mindful Education’s online learning platform featuring live tutorials and exclusive access to videos, practice questions, downloadable materials and interactive case studies designed to help you build a deeper understanding of the Level 5 CIPD materials.
Alongside this, you will attend regular, live tutorials with a CAVC CIPD lecturer who will facilitate group conversations to enhance your knowledge and comprehension of HR topics in order to reinforce learning.

What you will study
Study method: Online and Virtual Classroom
We have partnered with Mindful Education to deliver this course through our flexible Online and Virtual Classroom model.
Online:
You will study award-winning video lessons, which are available on demand, and can be viewed from your phone, tablet or computer – meaning you can choose how, when and where you want to study. Lessons last for around 45 minutes and are accompanied by animations and motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Practice questions, downloadable lesson materials and interactive case studies help to enhance the learning experience further and learners should expect to spend around 4-5 hours studying independently online each week.
Virtual Classroom:
You benefit from regular classes with a college tutor – without having to commit to attending multiple evenings each week. Your tutor will review what you have learnt during your online lessons and will be on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Regular discussion with classmates will help to reinforce key points while also providing the additional support and motivation that comes from being part of a group.
Content and Assessment:
This course is delivered online via a mixture of Self-Study and live tutorials every other Thursday.
The qualification itself is built around the CIPD Profession Map that sets the international benchmark for people professionals, combining a set of core values, knowledge and behaviours which guide people professionals in their decision-making and actions.
To obtain this qualification, you will be required to write and submit unit assignments to set deadlines. There are 7 units overall:
3 core units:
5CO01 Organisational performance and culture in practice
5CO02 Evidence-based practice
5CO03 Professional behaviours and valuing people
3 specialist units:
5HR01 Employment relationship management
5HR02 Talent Management and workforce planning
5HR03 Reward for performance and contribution
1 additional unit:
5OS01 Specialist Employment Law
CIPD Memberships:
All students will require an active CIPD Membership throughout the duration of their qualification. CAVC does not cover Membership costs as they are personal memberships that you have the opportunity to uphold post-qualification. We will invite you to register your Membership upon enrolment.
Application Process:
Remote Interview with a member from our CIPD team to assess your suitability for this level of qualification against CIPD guidelines.

Entry requirements
You are eligible for this course if you:
- are aged 19+
- are not in full time education
- can provide evidence of an A*- C in GCSE English or equivalent, a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice or any higher qualification. If you cannot provide this evidence, you may be asked to complete a short-written task.
- are currently working in a senior people practice role leading and managing people and practice within organisations or aspiring to be in a a senior people practice role with some HR related experience
