After I looked into studying Childcare at Cardiff and Vale College, I knew it was the right course for me. The learning environment here is great and there’s so much support available. I am dyslexic, but the tutors here have all been so helpful all throughout the course. I can be quite anxious when it comes to meeting new people, but even within the first week I felt settled here. Studying here also gave me the opportunity to participate at Skills Competition Wales 2023 in Childcare – which I went on to win! I plan on progressing from Level 2 to Level 3 here at the College and then train to be a Speech and Language Therapist, helping children and young adults with their communication skills.
Completion of the Level 3 Children's Care, Play, Learning and Development: Practice and Theory qualification provides a suitable foundation for the study of early years and childcare through a range of higher education courses, or apprenticeships.
