What you will study

On this course you will cover:

Overview of Vehicle Accident Repair industry to include the basic concepts and processes involved in Vehicle Accident Repair.
Basic Vehicle Body Repairs
Minor Repairs: Techniques for performing minor repairs to vehicle bodies.
Dent Removal: Basic methods for removing dents from vehicle panels.
Filler Application: Applying and shaping body filler for a ready to accept foundation coats.
Preparation and Application of Foundation Materials.
Surface Preparation: Techniques for preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding and masking.
Primers and Sealers: Application of primers and sealers to vehicle surfaces.
Basic Paint Techniques
Spray Painting: Basic techniques for spray painting, including equipment setup and maintenance.
Paint Defects: Identifying and correcting common paint defects.

Our facilities are state of the art for the Vehicle Body Repair and Refinishing workshop.

Course fee per year

Part-time enrolment fee: £40.00

Course Fee: £20.00

Entry requirements

No prior experience is required. A keen interest in Automotive Repair and a willingness to learn are essential. Safety Boots and Overalls will be required for workshop sessions. All other essential PPE will be provided.
