The UAL Level 3 in Fashion, is perfect for individuals who are interested in a career within the fashion industry. The course offers an insight to different aspects of fashion and textiles. With the support of specialist teachers, you will be guided through a range of different topics on the course which will help generate and develop the core skills necessary to grow your creative practice.
This course includes:
- Research and contextual studies into fashion design
- Observational drawing, fashion illustration, and design sketches
- 2D and 3D mixed media and digital manipulation
- Fashion and textile exploration, covering fabric manipulation, printing, pattern cutting, draping, and garment construction
- Fashion communication, photography, fashion styling, and visual merchandising

5 GCSEs A* - C or a Level 2 Diploma in this discipline at Pass grade or higher. English Language, Maths and an Art based GCSE are a compulsory requirement for the course (regardless of a level 2 qualification). You must provide a portfolio of work during your interview.

On successful completion of the one-year diploma (equivalent to 1.5 A Level), you will then have the opportunity to progress onto the Extended Diploma year.
After completing the two full years of study, the course is the equivalent to 3 A Levels and can provide enough UCAS points to progress onto University.
