This course is designed for students who intend to start up their own project or company and wish to explore and extend their creative practice within their chosen industry. It allows learners to work on briefs while focusing on their own personal professional development & areas of interest.
Students will create a business plan, build a professional portfolio and gain insights through practical workshops and real-world projects. Learners will develop collaboration and networking skills while preparing for freelance or self-employed careers.
Students will be required to self-manage their own projects, work collaboratively and engage with external clients and industry personnel.

Unit 1: The Creative Entrepreneur Unit introduction
This unit introduces the student to the requisite enterprise skills that are necessary to kick‑start a creative business venture.
Unit 2: The Creative Practitioner Unit introduction
This unit will provide the student with the opportunity to define their enterprise ambitions by providing the necessary time and space to research and develop their creative ideas.
Unit 3: The Creative Enterprise Unit introduction
This unit requires the student to develop, formalise and present a sustainable creative enterprise business plan.
Employment / Self‑employment
Students completing this qualification may set up their own company, become a freelancer or progress directly into employment.
Higher Education
The qualification will support students to develop a portfolio of work, enabling them to progress to higher education courses.
