AS Photography is an intermediate level course suited to those with an interest in creative subjects and art-based photography. Learners will need a basic level of computer literacy as you will be creating a digital portfolio. Students will explore a range of styles including landscape & portraiture photography, leading to the production of an individual project. The course includes artist research, theory and image analysis tasks. Practical work is supported with written notes to explain your ideas and processes. The course includes an introduction to editing software Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom, which will be used to experiment with digital imagery. Students will be encouraged to explore other creative techniques, such as collage to create original and personal lens-based artwork.
Students don’t need to have prior photographic knowledge but must be able to take lots of pictures throughout the course in their own time.
