Geography - AS
About this course
The Geography AS programme is a one-year course of study and should be taken in conjunction with two or three other subjects and the Welsh Baccalaureate.
Based at our City Centre campus in Cardiff, this qualification encourages learners to apply geographical knowledge, theory and skills to the world around them and will enable learners to develop a critical understanding of the world’s people, places and environments in the 21st Century. The focus of the specification is to develop an enthusiasm for and competence in geography by using contemporary real-world contexts, drawing on both physical and human geography, exploring people-environment interactions and encouraging development of fieldwork at a local level.
Learners may be able to take this qualification as a part-time student.
