Based at our City Centre campus in Cardiff, this programme will explore novels, plays and poetry including texts and contexts and is also an opportunity to develop creative reading and writing.
The Fast Track A Level English Literature combines both the AS and A2 Programme into a one-year course of study and should be taken in conjunction with two or three other subjects and the Welsh Baccalaureate.
The course comprises the following Five modules:
AS Units
Unit 1: Prose and Drama
Section A: Prose fiction pre-1900
Section B: Drama
Unit 2: Unit 2: Poetry Post-1900
A2 Units
Unit 3: Poetry pre-1900 and unseen poetry
Unit 4: Shakespeare
Unit 5: Prose Study
You will undertake written examinations as well as a coursework assessment (2500 - 3500 word assignment).
