Families Learning Together

The Families Learning Together Project at CAVC aims to engage a large number of families and foster positive attitudes towards education.

This term the Families Learning Together team are delivering a brand new, exciting course. This 10 week course (approximately 3 hours a week) will support families in helping children build the foundations to become confident readers in the future.  The course will support parents and carers to make learning to read enjoyable and is full of enjoyable games and activities to do together.

The course will provide you with the tools and knowledge to help you to support your child in reading.
There will be regular online story times that you and your child can attend together and weekly classes for parents only.

The course will be tailored to your family's needs. You will be able to access the course in lots of ways: you can do it online in a weekly live session, or you may wish to watch a recording of the session in your own time, you can access the course by email and communicate by email.

Each week you will be asked to complete an activity/game with your child and to chat with the tutor.

The course is free to all families and you gain an accreditation from Agored Cymru. To achieve the accreditation you will need to complete the tasks as required by the accreditation body.
You will become a student of CAVC.
