Foundation Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services

Level(s): Level 2

Duration: 15 months

Location: Work Based

About the Course:

This apprenticeship is suitable for individuals working within banks, building societies, insurance organisations, business administration or customer service where their role involves providing financial services either face to face or over the telephone. The apprenticeship will give individuals the opportunity to receive recognition for their competence and experience. The Providing Financial Services qualification has a flexible approach and allows the individual to select optional units and additional units, which meet the requirements of their job role.

Level 2: Providing Financial Services - Banking
Level 2: Providing Financial Services - Life, Pensions and Investments
Level 2: Providing Financial Services - Financing and Credit Facilities
Level 2: Providing Financial Services - Administration for Mortgage and/or Financial Planning Intermediaries
Level 2: Providing Financial Services - Investment Operations
Level 2: Providing Financial Services - Customer Payments for Financial Products and Services
Level 2: Providing Financial Services – Credit Control and Debt Collection
City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service
*City and Guilds Essential Skills Wales in Application of Number Level 1
*City and Guilds Essential Skills Wales in Communication Level 1

Applicable if proxies are not available

Entry Requirements:

High standard of Numeracy, Literacy and Digital Literacy
Learners who do not have GCSE D-G in Maths and English Language or Welsh First Language will complete Essential Skills Wales qualifications at Level 1

Important Points:

You must be: Employed for 16 hours or more each week in a suitable role
You must be: Living in Wales or Working 51% of your contract in Wales
You must be: Aged 16 or over

Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services

Level(s): Level 3

Duration: 18 months

Location: Work Based

About the Course:

This apprenticeship is suitable for individuals working within banks, building societies, mortgage providers, debt collection agencies, finance/HP providers and customer service organisations where their role involves providing, supervising or managing financial services either face to face or over the telephone. The apprenticeship is designed for candidates who are responsible for supervising/managing individuals or dealing with complex processes within financial services.
