About the Course:
The apprenticeship has been designed with employers in Wales to equip candidates with the primary IT skills that they need to be able to support with managing the day-to-day operation of hardware, software and controlling risks to the integrity of data assets. Candidates will gain the essential IT skills and hands on experience for career development across a broad range of industry sectors.

High standard of Numeracy, Literacy and Digital Literacy
Learners who do not have GCSE A*- C in Maths and English Language or Welsh First Language will complete Essential Skills Wales qualifications at Level 2

You must be: Employed for 16 hours or more each week in a suitable role
You must be: Living in Wales or Working 51% of your contract in Wales
You must be: Aged 16 or over

About the Course:
The higher apprenticeship has been designed with employers in Wales to equip candidates with the primary cyber security skills that they need to be able to perform their role. Candidates will gain a robust vocational route to fulfilling cyber security skills needs in the workplace.
The higher apprenticeship can be used to upskill new or existing staff. Suitable roles include junior and senior roles in network security, information assurance, secure systems development and penetration testing. The higher apprenticeship is suited to candidates with experience in cyber security or those that have attained the level 3 qualification and wish to advance their skills and knowledge.
