Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Cardiff and Vale College has moved from 3rd to 2nd in the National Centre for Diversity’s prestigious Top 100 Inclusive Employers Index.

The achievement reflects the work being done across the College to embed Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE). The College is the only Welsh Further Education (FE) institution in the Top 10.

In 2022, CAVC was recognised as the best college in the UK for its work in promoting FREDIE, winning an Association of Colleges Beacon Award for Inclusive Leadership. Known as the ‘College Oscars’, Beacon Awards recognise Further Education institutions across the UK who go above and beyond in their services to learners and the wider community.

Investors in People is an accreditation that is known all over the world.  It is granted to organisations that demonstrate a clear commitment to the people who make up an organisation, and we are proud to have achieved the gold standard.
