About ESOL and ESOL plus
CAVC works with many young people each year whose first language is not English.
At College you can study English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at the right level for you and start to train for your future career at the same time.
You will improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing in English. This will help you in life and work in the future. And on an ESOL+ course you gain skills, experience and qualifications for a future career at the same time and at the same college campus.
ESOL courses are available at:
- 6 hours a week or
- 16 hours a week
Your CAVC
CAVC works with thousands of people each year to improve their English on an ESOL course. We make sure you learn English at the right level for you. When you apply, we invite you to college to meet our friendly team at our REACH Centre. They check what level is right for you when you start.
Your Future
After finishing ESOL + many young people study a higher-level course at college. Some ESOL + students use the skills and qualifications they have gained to go straight into work.
