This weekend, almost 2,000 competitors from all over Wales will take part in the prestigious annual Cerdd Dant Festival which is being hosted by Cardiff and Vale College.
The annual festival is part of the national Eisteddfod, and is dedicated to the art of singing with the harp and is a celebration of the Welsh tradition. There are other disciplines to compete in, such as folk singing, recitation, folk dancing and playing the harp.
CAVC Principal Sharon James said: “CAVC is based in the heart of the Capital of Wales, and we are hugely proud of our heritage. We are delighted to be working hosting the National Cerdd Dant festival and celebrate the Welsh language and culture with this historical event”.
