The next generation of Welsh artistic talent’s work will be on display in the Capital next month when Cardiff and Vale College’s Creative students will hold their special end of year show and exhibition.
It will be a summer of creative spectacle across the Capital region as students from the College’s Barry campus will be exhibiting their work in the Vale.
The exhibition, at the College’s iconic City Centre Campus on Dumballs Road, will feature a mix of media including paintings, sculpture and product design. The opening of the exhibition will also include an end of year Summer Show where the artists will be on hand to talk about their work, and there will be performances from Music and Performing Arts learners, plus a fashion show by Fashion Design students.
The exhibition will open on Friday, 7th June at 5pm and will feature a full programme of events. The show and exhibition is open to everyone and you can register here.
CAVC has one of the largest Creative Departments of any college in Wales and many learners go on to complete university courses in Art, Fashion, Theatre and Performance so this is a fantastic opportunity to see the leading artists of tomorrow. There will also be an exhibition of the work by students at the College’s Barry Campus at Arts Central in Barry Library from 8th-22nd June with a special viewing evening on 13th June from 6-8pm.
