About this course

You will be studying the Level 1 Diploma in Construction skills. You must achieve 37 credits in total working on a range of units covering Plastering, Tiling and Painting and decorating skills.

What you will study

Some of the units of study will include,

  • Health and safety
  • Preparing backgrounds
  • Painting techniques
  • Tiling a plain wall
  • Applying render coats
  • Applying finishing plaster coats
  • Tiling Floors with Borders

Entry requirements

Candidates must have three GCSEs A* - G including in Mathematics and English. Applicants also need to attend an information evening. PPE/Equipment needed to study: safety boots, work clothing or overalls to change for practical sessions.
