Advanced Excel Training is planned to build upon an intermediate level knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel. You will develop a range of advanced skills to manage more complex and unusual tasks to elevate your overall confidence in using and exploring Excel on a deeper level.

Teaching and assessment

This 1-day course is delivered onsite from 9.30am – 4:00pm. 

Entry requirements

This programme is funded through Multiply. To be eligible to enrol, you must: - Be aged 19 or over - Be able to provide evidence that you currently work and/live in Cardiff and the Vale e.g. ID, Utility Bill, Employment Contract with full address clearly stated. - Be dedicated to attending the entire session/s Please upload your evidence when applying as applications will not be processed without this evidence. This course will cover topics such as:

  • Basic formulas and functions
  • IF and SUMIF
  • Relative and absolute cell references
  • Created simple charts tables
  • Filtered & sorted data. (Please note that this point is a self-assessment and therefore we will take this at face value upon receipt of your application).

If you are not already familiar with these topics, we would recommend attending our Basic or Intermediate Excel with Numbers courses before applying.
