About this course

The course is designed to enable candidates to demonstrate welding skills typically found in industry and associated underpinning knowledge to a level that will enable them to complete welded joints in simple welding positions.

What you will study

You will learn to produce: 

  • a lap fillet weld in the PB horizontal/vertical position
  • beads on plate in the PA flat position
  • a tee fillet weld in the PA flat position
  • a corner weld in the PA flat position

Entry requirements

No prior experience is required. A keen interest in MIG welding processes and a willingness to learn are essential. Safety Boots and Overalls will be required for workshop sessions. All other essential PPE will be provided.
