About this course
The level 1 Award in plastering is a first choice course for individuals looking for a change in career. This course will help to develop some of the skills of working as a plasterer in the construction industry.
What you will study
This course will help to develop the skills required for plaster boarding and skimming. An example of units covered are:
- Health & safety in construction
- Cutting & fixing plasterboard
- Mixing finishing plaster
- Applying and finishing, finishing plaster
This qualification will be assessed through practical assessments and a theory assessment for the Health & Safety unit.
On completion of the Level 1 Award students can progress onto the New Foundation Qualifications that are planned to be delivered in September.
Additionally learners are required to have their own safety boots before starting the course. The boots can be bought from any retailer.

No experience in construction is required, we will gauge your enthusiasm and commitment at interview stage
