About this course

Delivered by SkyAcademy, AWS re/Start is a workforce development training program that prepares you for a career in the cloud and connects you to potential employers.

Delivery schedule:

This course will be for 12 weeks full time Monday – Friday each week, 9am – 5pm. This is delivered via blended learning through virtual classroom online and face to face sessions.

A technology background is not required and is focused on helping unemployed, underemployed, career changers or returners looking to launch a new cloud career.

Through coursework and hands-on labs, using real world scenarios, you can gain the technical skills you need for entry to mid-level cloud roles. AWS re/Start also provides you with professional skills training including CV creation and review, and interview coaching to prepare you for employer meetings and job interviews.

What you will study

AWS re/Start curriculum is adapted to you, it will assess where you are in your learning journey, desired objectives and your learning style.

Through scenario-based exercises, instructor-led sessions, you will build Linux, Python, networking, security, database, automation, and core AWS Cloud skills.

Additionally, you will complete the necessary training and be given the opportunity to sit the exam for the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification – an essential starting point for those looking to start a career in cloud.

You will receive job-specific training for roles such as technical support specialist, systems administrator, cloud automation lead, up to infrastructure engineer and more.

Teaching and assessment

Weekly assessments will be conducted, assessing your attendance and knowledge as each subject is covered.

Practice exams and practical assessments will take place during the bootcamp, and you will sit the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam, allowing you to obtain your AWS certification upon completion of the bootcamp.
