I chose to study at Cardiff and Vale College because school wasn’t for me, and I wasn’t interested in any of the subjects. The Hospitality course has opened so many doors for me – including getting to the semi-finals of the Nestle Toque d’Or, winning in Skills Competition Wales and winning Best in Nation at WorldSkills in Lyon in 2024. The College has given me the skills to achieve my goals and has helped me secure work at Lucknam Park as a chef de rang in Restaurant Hywel Jones. I’ve recently completed my HND in Hospitality Management at the college and progressed to a degree course at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
After completing this course, successful candidates may progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Professional Bakery. Many students also pursue various employment opportunities within the industry.
