About this course

The course offers a dynamic and practical introduction to skills essential for success in the modern workplace. Learners begin by focusing on being organised, learning how to manage their time and responsibilities effectively. Moving on to developing a personal progression plan, setting goals for their future. Collaboration is a key theme, with working with others, helping learners build teamwork and communication skills. Creativity and innovation are explored through researching and designing a product, creating a mood board, and branding a product, where learners bring business ideas to life visually. The course also emphasises digital fluency, with modules on using digital communication technologies and presenting a business idea, ensuring learners can confidently share their work in professional formats.

What you will study

Topics including Being Organised, Developing a Personal Progression Plan, Working with Others, Designing a Product, Creating a Mood Board, Branding a Product, Presenting a Business Idea, Using Digital Communication Technologies.

Entry requirements

Minimum Grade D in GCSE English. All applicants will be interviewed for suitability

After completing this course you can go on to complete the full 2-year Extended Diploma. Many students progress onto courses at university, others go directly into employment. CAVC offers a HNC in Sport Coaching which if competed successfully leads on to a top up at Cardiff Metropolitan University to complete the full degree course.
