I have really enjoyed studying the Art and Design course at Cardiff and Vale College. I have a passion for the subject and it’s great to be able to study it full-time. The highlight of my time here came at the end of my first year, when my work was selected by the course’s awarding body to be exhibited at one of the top galleries in London. I felt really proud when I took down my family to see the exhibition. I’m looking forward to finishing my second year and heading to university to further develop my practice.
After completing this course, successful candidates may have the option to top up their qualification to a BTEC Extended Diploma in Art, Craft and Design. The College also offers a range of Foundation Degrees, accredited by Cardiff Metropolitan University, which means that once you have completed your course, you can choose to return to college and gain a University qualification there, instead of going to University.
