The aim of this 4-week course is to introduce learners to working safely and creatively with a variety of art materials, techniques and processes. Learners will explore different approaches to creating 3D artwork while developing drawing skills, experimenting with ceramics and papier-mâché processes and working with mixed media.
The course will include weekly workshops where learners will explore these techniques and apply them in practical activities. Throughout the course, learners will create and develop 3D artwork using the materials, techniques and processes introduced in the Art, Craft and Design sessions.
This course covers a range of topics learning outcomes:
You will document your work for each workshop within a A4 sketchbook.
The college has extensive Art & Design workshops and computer facilities. Specialist Art spaces include Fine Art, Ceramics, Printmaking and Fashion & Textiles.
Also, Digital Fabrication production including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, vinyl cutters and digital embroidery.
