The aim of this 4-week course is to introduce learners to working safely and creatively with a variety of art materials, techniques and processes. Learners will explore different approaches to creating 2D artwork while developing drawing skills, experimenting with printmaking processes and working with mixed media.
The course will include weekly workshops where learners will explore these techniques and apply them in practical activities. Throughout the course, learners will create and develop 2D artwork using the materials, techniques and processes introduced in the Art, Craft and Design sessions.
After completing this course, learners can enrol on the next course: Art, Craft and Design (3D).

The college has extensive Art & Design workshops and computer facilities. Specialist Art spaces include Fine Art, Ceramics, Printmaking and Fashion & Textiles.
Also, Digital Fabrication production including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, vinyl cutters and digital embroidery.

Applicants should have an keen intrest in Art, Craft and Design and be motivated to learn. No qualifications or portfolio needed.
