Fast Track A Level Further Maths
About this course
This course is predominantly designed for students who intend on studying heavily mathematical degrees. After one year you will have a full A Level in Further Mathematics, you will have twice as many lessons a week compared to a standard A Level course in order to achieve this.
What you will study
You will study a range of mathematical topics, including pure mathematics, statistics and mechanics.
There will be five exams:
- Unit 1 further pure mathematics A
- Written examination: 1 hours 30 mins; 13.3% of qualification
- Unit 2 further statistics A
- Written examination: 1 hour 30 mins; 13.3% of qualification
- Unit 3 further mechanics A
- Written examination: 1 hours 30 mins; 13.3% of qualification
- Unit 4 further pure mathematics B
- Written examination: 2 hour 30 mins; 35% of qualification
- Unit 6 further mechanics B
- Written examination: 1 hour 45 mins; 25%
Note there is a choice of unit 5 or unit 6 for A2 further maths and we deliver unit 6.

Entry requirements
Successful completion of AS programme including satisfactory attendance and tutor recommendation.
