Be among the first to study at CAVC’s new landmark Vale campuses

20 Oct 2026

You could be among the first to learn new skills or progress in your career in one of Cardiff and Vale College’s two new landmark campuses – and at this November’s Open Evenings you can find out more.

Held on Tuesday 3rd November at CAVC’s City Centre Campus and on Wednesday 4th November at the College’s Barry Campus and renowned International Centre Aerospace Training (ICAT), the evenings will offer the opportunity to discuss future options and apply for courses based at all of CAVC’s campuses, including the two brand new facilities in the Vale, which open in September 2027.

Students choosing to study at the new Barry Waterfront Campus will benefit from a modern vibrant campus in the heart of Barry’s lively waterfront community, just a short walk from transport links. The campus will offer a wide range of courses and opportunities for young people and adults looking to gain new skills, progress to university or advance their careers, in areas such as Health and Care, Hospitality, Hairdressing and Beauty, Creative and Foundation Learning.

Meanwhile, the innovative Advanced Technology Centre sits alongside ICAT at Cardiff Airport. The new centre will provide leading industry-standard, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including industrial robots and CNC machinery to drones and electric vehicles, providing students with the skills and experience that employers need for the future in areas such as Engineering, Automotive Technology, Computing, Esports, Construction and the Built Environment, Green Technology and more.

Both campuses are due to open in the summer of 2027 and will be the first net zero further education project in Wales. The £119m project is being delivered through the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme.
