Although designed as a recommended pre-requisite qualification to allow progression on to the BPEC suite of Heat Pump qualifications, this qualification can also be taken by those experienced operatives wishing to develop their skills in the design of low temperature domestic heating systems. This unregulated qualification has been developed to enable plumbing and heating engineers to demonstrate their competence in:
• Understanding the importance for the correct calculation of heat loss from a dwelling when low temperature hot water heating systems are being specified and installed.
• Deigning low temperature heating systems for dwellings that use low temperature and/or low carbon heat sources.
We recommend enrolling on our BPEC Water Regulations and our Heat Pump Systems Installer Training course once you have completed this course, as the two programmes are designed to complement each other and build your skills progressively.
We also offer other courses that may be of interest to you as follows
At the end of this qualification the learner will be able to:
• Know the requirements of relevant Regulations, Standards and Guidance relating to domestic low temperature hot water heating systems and hot water supply
• Know how to Calculate the heat loss from a dwelling for low temperature hot water heating design
• Know how to calculate the hot water requirements of a dwelling
• Know how to size and select heat emitters for low temperature hot water heating systems
• Know how to correctly size low temperature hot water heating systems in dwellings
• Know how to design low temperature hot water heating systems for dwellings
Administration Fee: £10.00
