About this course

The SSSTS Refresher online course is a great refresher to update your existing health and safety know-how, along with any changes in the law and how they might affect where you’re working.

As with the SSSTS course, the SSSTS Refresher course is accredited. At the end of the SSSTS Refresher course you will be able to:

Enforce all the up to date health, safety, welfare and environmental laws that affect your supervisory abilities
Enforce any new guidelines and relevant best practices that come of a result of any changes
Meet your health, safety, welfare, and environmental responsibilities

What you will study

Health and Safety at Work Act.
Current enforcement priorities / HSE / Environment.
Fire risk and emergency procedures and reporting.
Best practice updates on Noise and vibration, Dermatitis, Asbestos, Drugs and alcohol and Stress factors.
Dynamic risk assessment procedures.
Hazardous substances.
Working at heights.
Manual handling.

Entry requirements

Anyone currently holding a valid Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme certificate that is due to expire.
