Alun Cairns talks business with CAVC students
Alun Cairns, the Secretary of State for Wales, has visited Cardiff and Vale College to talk to students about Wales’ wider economic role and the importance of good business relationships.
Taking part in Q&A with Level 3 Business learners, the Welsh Secretary spoke about maintaining a balance between trade and diplomacy while also taking devolution into account. He also discussed about Wales’ role in the world post-Brexit and the importance of exports.
“It was a privilege to talk to the students bout their ambitions and how they can exploit the opportunities that will arise as we leave the European Union,” Alun Cairns said. “I was impressed by their debate and their knowledge of the opportunities and change and that more young people are looking to the opportunities that leaving the EU will bring while we also maintain a close relationship with Europe.
“I hugely congratulate the students and Cardiff and Vale College for the work they are doing – this is an example of stimulating and inspiring young people to support the UK economy.”
