About this course

Our Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing qualification has been developed for delivery in a training environment, which means you do not need to be employed to study this course. This program of accelerated learning is designed to fast track pupils from basic skills up to a Level 2 standard, within a structured delivery. The course will enhance your skills, knowledge and understanding of the construction industry and enable you to work in Plumbing or progress onto further training. This qualification supports the learner to attain fundamental and transferable practical skills, with associated underpinning knowledge, and industry will accept this on its own as entry to a job role.

What you will study

You will study a number of units to include:

  • Unit 201/501 Health and safety in building services engineering
  • Unit 202/502 Electrical principles and processes for building services engineering 
  • Unit 203 Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing 
  • Unit 204/504 Common plumbing processes 
  • Unit 205/505 Cold water systems 
  • Unit 206/506 Domestic hot water systems 
  • Unit 207 Sanitation 
  • Unit 208/508 Central heating systems 
  • Unit 209/509 Drainage systems 
  • Unit 210 Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs Grade A* - D including English Language and/or Maths and a successful interview and Skills Scan Assessment
