This course is for professionals who are working in organisations at an operational level and pursuing a career path in environment and sustainability. You will be working within environmental management or sustainability and require detailed knowledge of environmental and sustainability principles, management tools and other skills to effectively deliver positive change.
You will receive Practitioner Membership free for one year, starting when you enrol on the course. During the course you will be a Practitioner Applicant Member and when you successfully complete the course you will be invited to confirm your application (REnvP is an additional cost and not covered by any funding).
This FREE course is only available to adults that are eligible for a Personal Learning Account (PLA). Personal Learning Accounts, funded by the Welsh Government, are available to employed adults living in Wales that wish to develop skills to progress or change career.

The IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management is made up of three Modules:
Module 1: Fundamentals of sustainability, business and governance
Module 2: Environmental principles, policy and legislation
Module 3: Environmental management/assessment tools and skills
This is a 15-day course (120 hours) in a tutor led online classroom.
There are three knowledge-based assignments and one assessment of competence that should give examples of how the knowledge learnt throughout the course have been applied practically within the workplace.
