About this course
The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a globally recognised health and safety qualification held by more than 175,000 people in the UK and worldwide.
The course is based on UK law and is essential for anyone working in or aspiring to work in the field of safety & health, it is a vital first step for those wanting to build a successful career in Health and Safety
Our lead trainer Ceri Rees has more than 21 years’ experience training and Ceri has worked with many different industries including construction, health and social care, retail and hospitality. An accomplished trainer in safety, Ceri delivers NEBOSH General Certificate and is also a registered Examiner with NEBOSH. Ceri holds a Grad IOSH and is an active member of RoSPA Safety Group.
What you will study
There are three units:
- NGC1 Management of Health and Safety
- GC2 Controlling Workplace Hazards
- GC3 Health and Safety Practical Application
Each unit is assessed separately. There are 2 x 2 hour exams and a 2 hour practical assessment.
Once all units of the NEBOSH Certificate have been passed, delegates are eligible to join IOSH and/or the Institute of Risk and Safety Management at the following grades:
- Tech IOSH: Technical member of IOSH
- AIIRSM: Associate of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
