CIM Marketing Diploma - Marketing and Digital Strategy
About this course
The Diploma in Professional Marketing comprises of three modules, each a stand-alone unit, this is the perfect course for those students keen to further develop their knowledge and understanding of marketing within the professional environment. This is a high-level professional qualification aimed at practising marketing professionals. Each module is approximately 12 weeks. Classes are every Tuesday evening between the hours of 5:45pm - 8:45pm.
This module will enable you to take both a traditional and digital strategies approach to marketing planning, integrating digital strategy, models, frameworks and techniques throughout to achieve a competitive advantage.
This module is part of the CIM diploma, in order to gain the diploma you will need to complete all 3 modules.
What you will study
The module comprises of three units of two learning outcomes.
Unit 1 – Situation Analysis
• Understand how to analyse an organisation’s current and future internal and external environment.
• Interpret relevant information and insights to recommend and inform strategic decision making.
Unit 2 – Planning
• Develop the marketing objectives and strategy to deliver organisational objectives.
• Develop a strategic marketing plan and a supporting marketing mix to deliver marketing objectives.
Unit 3 – Implementation and Control
• Define the resources required to deliver the strategic marketing plan.
• Apply the results of monitoring and measurements, and adapt the marketing plan for continuous improvement.

Entry requirements
CIM Level 4 Professional Certificate in Marketing or CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing (syllabus 2014). Any relevant Level 4 qualification Foundation Degree in Business with Marketing Bachelor's or Master's Degree from a recognised university.

Career prospects & further study
After completing this course you can go on to complete the full 2-year Extended Diploma. Many students progress onto courses at university, others go directly into employment. CAVC offers a HNC in Sport Coaching which if competed successfully leads on to a top up at Cardiff Metropolitan University to complete the full degree course.
