Refrigeration - Apprenticeship
About this course
Our Level 2, part time day release course in Refrigeration is a great place to continue your development. Based at our City Centre campus, this programme is intended for those individuals already employed within the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry wishing to develop their career. The course follows a modular training programme, which provides practical knowledge of installing and maintaining refrigeration systems, and individuals will be assessed in the workplace against a course framework. Studying in our fully equipped workshops, classrooms and resource centers, learners will spend one day a week developing their skills within the sector. This apprenticeship programme is fully funded by the Welsh Government.
What you will study
Individuals will follow a City & Guilds QCF based qualification at Level 2. Also, learners can either follow an NVQ Diploma in Installing and Maintaining Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems or an NVQ Diploma in Installing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems. To confirm, we are only able to fund one of the diplomas, so if a learner requires both, this will be at a cost to the employer. Both diplomas will be delivered via Competence and Principles based knowledge.
Learners will also work to achieving Level 2 Essential Skills, which includes Essential Communication Skills, Essential Application of Number Skills, plus Level 1 Essential Digital Literacy Skills.
