Points from the players

“Playing football for CAVC gave me a bigger reason to come to college every day and helped me focus on my studies so I could achieve what I had targeted for myself. This combination of studies and football has allowed me to achieve my aim of going to university and I now study at USW on the BSc Football Coaching and Performance course.”

Vocational Access

Football Academy Graduate Programme

CAVC has a proud reputation of developing students and offering them excellent opportunities whilst studying their course.

Throughout their study students/players are invited to FAW Coach Education taster days, where they observe the sessions and have real life experiences of what it takes to become a UEFA B and A Licence coach through the FAW Focus College Programme. We are one of only eight colleges in Wales to satisfy scrutinised criteria to enable this programme.

The opportunities don’t stop there though; the Football Academy Graduate Programme is a Work Based Learning programme where university students from South Wales are offered vocational hours to develop their experience alongside their studies. This graduate programme has already shaped the futures of several of the initial cohort and the foundations of a successful programme have been laid.
