Construction team get on their bikes and raise £2k for Ty Hafan

A team of Construction lecturers from Cardiff and Vale College have raised more than £2,000 for children’s hospice Ty Hafan by cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats during the Summer Holidays.

Brickwork lecturers and keen cyclists Chris Bridgeman, Paul Glover and Darren Hill made the challenging 940-mile bike journey with fellow Brickwork lecturer colleague Anthony Parry acting as a support driver.

“We would like to thank all the staff who have already contributed to our challenge and let anyone wishing to make a donation know that we will be meeting with Ty Hafan staff at the end of the month to hand over the monies raised,” Chris Bridgeman said. “So far we have raised more than £2,200 and are aiming to reach the £3,000 mark.”

Donations can be made either to Chris at the College’s Cardiff Construction Training Centre on Dumballs Road or by visiting his JustGiving site www.justgiving.com/chris-bridgeman
