CAVC's Director for Business Development up for prestigious business award
Paul Kift, Cardiff and Vale College’s Director of Business Development, has made the shortlist for a prestigious Institute of Directors Award.
Paul is in the running for the coveted title of IoD’s Director of the Year in the Director of a Social Enterprise or Charity category. Having joined CAVC from Capital Law, where he was Business Development and Bid Manager, Paul has seen the Commercial Services side of Cardiff and Vale College expand with the College’s income increasing by nearly 30% in the last 12 months.
Paul has also been instrumental in the establishment of a recruitment office in Beijing, which is shared with Cardiff Metropolitan University and is vital in developing relationships and generating additional income for the College, whilst also leading a team responsible for the opening of three commercial retail ventures in CAVC’s, soon to be opened, £45m new city centre campus.
“I’m really honoured to make it to the shortlist of the Institute of Directors Awards,” Paul said. “It just goes to show how important building a successful commercial arm to the College is – it is a key aspect of CAVC and I am proud to be a part of it.”
The winners of the IoD Awards will be announced at a special ceremony at the SWALEC Stadium on May 15th.
