CAVC - the place to 'Bae' for coffee
Bae Coffi, a high-end coffee house and event venue, has opened at Cardiff and Vale College’s £45m new City Centre Campus in the heart of the capital.
More than 30 different coffees are available at Bae, ranging from Viennese Espresso to Honey and Peanut Butter Latte. Designed to be more than a coffee shop, Bae Coffi also aims to become a hub for the local community that also happens to sell great coffee. It will host after-hours events featuring live music, comedy and debates.
Bae Coffi will also serve up fresh baked pastries and cakes each day alongside a range of local produce including sandwiches, salads and paninis. A ‘Bae of the Day’ will be chosen each day whose reward will be a free drink.
“Bae Coffi is about doing things differently, right from providing what we believe is the best service in the city through to how we develop and run our business as a team,” Bae’s Manager Callum Parker explained. Profits made by the coffee house will be invested back in to the College to benefit both students and the wider community.
A recent launch event gave a taste of how Bae Coffi will be a coffee house with a difference – local musician Tom Auton played an acoustic set and artist Nathan Wyburn displayed his ‘coffee art’; portraits created using real coffee.
