Cardiff and Vale College named in the top 20 UK organisations for diversity

Cardiff and Vale College has been placed in the top 20 companies and organisations for equality, diversity and inclusion.

The College has ranked 15th in the National Centre for Diversity’s UK Top 100 Index 2018, moving up for its position as 23rd last year.

The Top 100 Index is determined by the results of surveys of staff and consumers of organisations that have embarked upon the accreditation process with the National Centre for Diversity.

Cardiff and Vale College Principal Kay Martin said: “We are delighted that Cardiff and Vale College is not only in the National Centre Diversity’s Top 100 Index, but that we are now in the top 20. It reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that all of the different communities the College serves feel respected and included.

“Working with the National Centre for Diversity has been a key element of our ongoing efforts to promote inclusivity and we look forward to a continuing partnership with the Centre.”

National Centre for Diversity CEO Solat Chaudhry said: “What a tremendous achievement by Cardiff and Vale College – they are the highest placed entrant in Wales in the NCFD Top 100 Index 2018, and amongst the finest in the UK. To achieve such a significant jump within the Top 100 Index is remarkable, and I’m sure lots of other organisations are wondering what their secret is.”
